High Range has a sound all of its own — full of surprises, instrumental excellence, some fine vocals and some absolutely killer originals that have won awards and been played on radio worldwide. The band has been together for 27 years and has forged a tight, compelling ensemble sound that is highly musical and thoroughly entertaining. They have performed on stages with some of the greats of the bluegrass and acoustic music scene — Tim O’Brien, Ralph Stanley, the Waybacks, Lori McKenna, Terry Hendrix, Lloyd Maines and many more. They have appeared at the Down Home in Johnson City, TN, the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, and many New England festivals — Ossipee, Thomas Point Beach, Podunk — and hundreds of town gazebos and fairs.
